Private Lessons
Students who study singing at The Treble Chorus of New England discover the unique qualities of their individual voices while learning proper vocal technique.
The young voice is a delicate instrument and TCNE is cautious in treating it very carefully. Therefore, the earliest age for private vocal study is 12. Even at this age, instructors are very careful about providing instruction that is developmentally appropriate so that the voice is not pushed or strained.
Families with students under the minimum age may request an interview with Heather Chu if they would like to be considered for private instruction.

Students may request make-up lessons with the teacher. The teacher is not required to make up lessons that are canceled by the student for any reason (including illness, vacation, schedule conflicts, etc…). If a teacher cancels a lesson, a maximum of 2 make-up options will be offered to the student for each cancelled lesson. A credit is not available for make-up lessons that are refused by the student or for scheduled make-ups that are missed by the student. Credits will only be given if the teacher is unable to offer make-up options.
